North West SkyeThe north and west of Skye is lower lying than much of the rest of the island but still contains notable hills such as Macleod's Tables at just under 500m. In addition, the substantial cliffs that form much of the coastline make for spectacular viewing.
The largest village in this part of the island is Dunvegan but the population is spread thinly throughout. Notable tourist attractions are Dunvegan Castle, Coral Beach and Neist Point Lighthouse. |
